A dispatcher that never clocks out.

Always-On Operator is a managed AI intake operator for locally owned trade and construction businesses. It lives on a dedicated business number, answers every text and call within seconds, and runs your intake procedure exactly the same way whether you're on a job site at 2 PM or asleep at 2 AM.

What the operator does

Answer. Triage. Scope. Book. Hand off.

Five jobs, done in order, on every conversation. Nothing else. That narrowness is the product.

Answers in seconds

Every inbound text gets a reply within about three seconds, around the clock. Voice calls are answered on the first ring on the recorded line.

Triages emergencies

Asks the one emergency question you define for your trade. A "yes" pages your on-call person immediately and ends the automated sequence.

Captures the scope

Collects a short plain-language description of the problem so the estimator or crew knows what to bring.

Books the visit

Offers the next open slot from your calendar, confirms it, and creates the appointment.

Writes to your CRM

Lead, contact details, scope, and the full transcript land in ServiceTitan, HubSpot, or your system of record.

Hands off to people

Frustration, profanity, or "let me talk to a human" stops the script and routes to your team with the transcript attached.

Guardrails

Why "managed"

You don't get a login. You get an operator.

Most AI tools for contractors hand you software and wish you luck. Always-On Operator runs on infrastructure we own and monitor, and our team reads the logs.

Dedicated infrastructure

Each client's operator runs in its own isolated environment, cloned from a tested master template. Your script never mixes with anyone else's.

Human monitoring

Every conversation is logged. We review escalations and failures, and we tune your script when we see a pattern.

Changes on request

New emergency question? Different booking window? Seasonal hours? Tell us and it's live, usually the same day.

Questions owners ask

FAQ

Will my customers know they're texting an AI?

Yes, and that's deliberate. The operator introduces itself as an AI intake assistant in the first message and answers honestly if asked. Customers who want a person get one. In practice, someone with a flooded kitchen at 2 AM cares far more about a fast answer than about who's typing it.

What happens when it doesn't know what to do?

It stops and hands off. The operator only has three phases to run. Anything outside them, including frustration or a request for a human, triggers a handoff to your team with the transcript attached. It is built to fail toward people, not toward improvising.

Does it only work after hours?

Most of our clients don't have office staff. The owner answers the phone between tasks, or doesn't. The operator takes first contact all day so nobody has to climb down a ladder to qualify a lead. Businesses that do have a front desk usually start by forwarding after-hours and overflow, then expand once they've watched it work.

Does it work with my dispatch software?

ServiceTitan, HubSpot, and Google Calendar are supported out of the box. Others are connected during deployment. If you use something unusual, tell us on the demo request and we'll confirm before you commit.

My trade isn't on your list. Does it still work?

Almost certainly. The operator runs the same three-phase procedure for every trade; what changes is the emergency question, the vocabulary, and the booking rules. If your customers call you when something breaks, we can write the script. Tell us your trade on the demo request and we'll confirm before you commit.

How long does setup take?

Your operator is cloned from a proven template and configured from a ten-minute intake form, so the operator itself exists within a day. Connecting your CRM and running test conversations with your team is what takes the rest of the time, typically under two weeks.

What's included in the monthly fee?

Everything it costs to run: hosting, AI model usage, text and voice messaging, integration upkeep, monitoring, and script changes. There is no per-lead or per-minute charge.
